About Maren

Maren takes her name from the old Nordic form of Marina, "of the sea", a fitting name for a 39 ft sailing catamaran made for the waters of the Arctic. Bright, modern and stable, she welcomes up to 12 guests for private trips through the fjords and islands around Tromsø. The large outdoor lounge seats the whole group, with a roof and full canopy that keep it comfortable on damp days, and a trampoline at the bow that becomes a sunbed when the weather allows. Inside, a light and stylish saloon with a TV and sound system sits next to a well-equipped galley, and four bathrooms with shower and toilet serve the cabins below, with ten fixed sleeping berths in total. Maren is fitted out for Arctic sailing, with diesel heating in both hulls, warm-air outlets in the outdoor lounge and a full set of safety equipment including a life raft. Swim platforms on both hulls invite a dip on summer days, while the heated interior makes her just as welcoming under the northern lights.
